And now for something a little different. Last week I was hired to photograph the the dress rehearsal for Ohana Arts' production of "The Wizard of Oz," (pics forthcoming) which played at my old alma mater - Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. At the risk of revealing my age, I'm going to say that back in my time, the auditorium was pretty dilapidated. Even after having been "renovated" the first time. The sound was bad, the seats were creaky and termite ridden...air conditioning? What was that? Anyway, I was really, REALLY impressed to see what became of the place. I wish I could have taken more shots, including the spirited bathroom tiles adorned in red and yellow, as well as the amazing mural out in front. Guess I'll have to pay another visit!
