The Holidays usually mean a trip to doldrums of Waianae Valley for a visit with the relatives on my wife's side. The scenery is particularly beautiful. It's muggy today, and a series of low hanging clouds cloak the once volcanic spires like royalty.

From what I hear, the Hawaiian islands are under a flash flood watch. It's low tide here at He'eia and I'm walking on sand that is usually under 4 feet of water. The sky looks pretty pissed right now!
